Dad, husband with a love for offroad cycling, off-piste and tour skiing, sailing, and good coffee. I grew up in the flatlands of the Netherlands but am genetically bound to love the mountains with a French family background in the southern Alps. In my mind I’m still 20 years old although my body isn’t always convinced.
Born in the seventies with a severe Gen-X attitude and online since the nineties. Uses AI but still knows how to write a basic script and what a phone book is.

Senior Product Owner and Architect, which mostly means I look at the whole application landscape instead of a single application. I like connecting the dots between business goals, people and technology, and turning a long-term vision into a strategy that survives contact with reality. Pragmatic, humorous and down-to-earth. Allergic to office politics and meetings that should have been an email.
I started out building websites in 1999, moved into consulting in 2008 and have been working agile since 2012. These days it’s less about building things right and more about building the right things for real people, in a landscape that still makes sense in five years.
On a personal note, currently deep into researching open source, big-tech-free and privacy-focused technology for both desktop and smartphone.
